Learn to fly...for a possible career or simply recreation! Certified flight instructor Jeremy Harmon from Higher Ground Aviation will provide classroom instruction to assist students in passing the FAA written exam, one major step toward certification as a private pilot. In addition to learning FAA regulatory expectations, you'll learn aerodynamics, aircraft systems, flight controls, weather, navigation, aeromedical factors, airspace, control tower operations, as well as other essential aspects. There is NO requirement for previous aviation knowledge in order to take this class. Actual flight training may begin at any time with your instructor for an additional cost. This is the 6 hour recertification exam for the CRMA whose certificate is still current. There will be brief review time, however students should study on their own to ensure successful licensing. Current CRMA holders must provide copy of valid certificate. Call 596-7752 opt 3 to register.
This 36 hour course is for students with prior MIG welding experience, and students who have previously taken the MIG I course. The course will cover advanced machine setup, advanced weld joint setup, and multi-pass welding in hard wire and flux core MIG. Safety is covered in the first session. This 50 hour course prepares participants to work in home health care or residential settings. Personal care, communication skills, observing, reporting and documentation, how to provide care safely and deal with emergencies, consumer rights, aging and illness are among the topics taught.
