American Red Cross-1st Aid/CPR with Pediatric – March 2023

Participants will learn to recognize and provide care for persons of all ages who have experienced a sudden illness or injury, until Emergency Medical Services arrive and take over. Following current Emergency Cardiac Care guidelines, students will learn to recognize a heart attack and what to do in this situation, including providing CPR and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Students will also learn to recognize stroke, breathing emergencies, and how to treat burns. Additional skills include caring for choking adults, children and infants, and controlling bleeding, as well as checking responsive persons. Certificate and reference card included.
